Obituary

In Loving Memory

Robert W Baker II, 48 of San Antonio, TX passed peacefully from this life the night of November 22, 2019 at Santa Rosa Medical Center, after a sudden decline in health over a few weeks due to recent medical issues. He was constantly surrounded and supported by his loving family during this time and the past few years of his life.

Robert’s journey in life began on October 13, 1971 in Charleston, South Carolina with his parents Frances V. and Robert W Baker, Sr. He grew up in the San Antonio area, next to his siblings Nathan D. Baker and Nandi D Baker-Martinez. He graduated from John Jay High School in 1990 and worked as a security guard at several locations, including Oak Farms Dairy and The Bonham Exchange, for most of his life since he graduated high school until his health began to decline.

Robert met the love of his life, his daughter, Jeannette I. Baker, on July 26, 1996 in San Antonio and she has been nothing short of pride and joy to him since. She has remained his constant consistent love, highest priority and motivation throughout his life.

Robert also met his long-time wife Mona Baker, just after high school and joined in union in San Antonio in 1993. She has always been a loving and caring wife, and a constant reliable spouse through all the trials and hardships throughout their marriage. She was available and rarely left his side during his illness and stay at the hospital.

While his life consisted of his family and working constantly for the most part, Robert had a fulfilling experience with it for the short time he was here and will be truly missed by those that knew him.

Robert is survived by both his parents, Robert,Sr and Frances Baker, his younger brother Nate Baker and the youngest, his sister Nandi Martinez, his wife Mona Baker, daughter Jeannette Baker, and recent addition, his companion Chewy.

Unfortunately, due to budgets of the family, the sudden timing of his passing, and the size of his remaining family and friends, the family has decided not to hold a visitation or viewing, and will hold a private memorial and gathering for immediate family on November 30, 2019 from 3 pm to 10 pm at his parents home and his final residence, located in San Antonio, TX. At his request, he will be cremated and his loving daughter, Jeannette, will hold him at her residence to spend her life with her father. A light reception dinner will be held at a future time after the holidays with his immediate family in attendance. Any sympathy and condolences are greatly appreciated by the family.
